Terms of service

The rules for sending, receiving and, if you choose, paying for Pro or a transfer.

Version of 29 October 2026. Only the French version is legally binding.

Who we are

TransferThing is a service published by DLW FINANCES, a French simplified joint-stock company with a single shareholder (SASU) with a share capital of €500, registered in the Nancy Trade and Companies Register under number 908 243 983, whose registered office is at 10 impasse de la Moselle, 54210 Tonnoy, France. Contact: contact@transferthing.com. These terms apply as soon as you use the service.

The service

TransferThing sends your files by means of a link. Sending for free needs no account and no email address. Files are deleted when the link expires, which the sender can bring forward; an account can delete its transfers at any time. The limits of each offer are shown on the site when you send or buy.

Your account

An account is optional. Give a valid email address, keep your password to yourself and tell us about any use you did not authorise. You can delete it at any time from its Settings or by writing to contact@transferthing.com: it takes effect at once, your transfers go with it, and a running subscription is cancelled without refunding the time left.

What you can pay for

Pro and paid transfers are sold by DLW FINANCES to buyers in the European Union, in euros, taxes included; the exact amount is shown before payment, which our payment provider collects on its own page. A transfer above the free size can be paid on its own, without an account: its link goes online once the payment is confirmed and the files have arrived; if it never does, it is refunded in full.

Subscription and renewal

Pro renews automatically at the end of each period you chose (1, 3, 6 or 12 months), at the same price, until you cancel it. For 3, 6 and 12 months, we email you 45 days before. You can cancel at any time from the “Plan” section of your account, “Cancel subscription” row: Pro stays on until the end of the period paid.

Refunds

Satisfied or refunded: within 14 days of the first payment of each subscription offer, or of a transfer’s payment, we refund you on request to contact@transferthing.com. A refund ends Pro or closes the transfer’s link. Renewals are not refunded. The details are on the Refunds page.

When Pro ends

When Pro ends (cancellation, refund or a refused payment), the account returns to Free. Links with no expiry get a deletion date, announced by email; the most recent ones that fit in the free space are kept.

What you can share

You must have the right to share what you send. Malware, phishing, illegal content, content that infringes others’ rights or privacy, and unsolicited mass sending are forbidden. You are responsible for the files you send and for who you give the link to.

Reports and removal

We may delete a transfer and close its link without notice if it breaks these terms or after a valid report. Every report is reviewed by a person: use the report form or abuse@transferthing.com.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the service available and your files intact until their link expires, but cannot guarantee it will never be interrupted. TransferThing is not a backup service: keep your own copy. Towards a business, our liability is limited to direct damage and to the amount paid over the last twelve months. Towards a consumer, we are liable as the law provides, the legal guarantee of conformity included.

Changes and applicable law

These terms may change; the version in force at the time of a payment applies to the period paid. They are governed by French law; a consumer keeps the mandatory rules of their country and may go to the courts where they live. If you disagree with us, write to contact@transferthing.com first.
