Too big for e-mail

Too big for e-mail? Send a link.

Drop the file here, paste the link into your message. Up to 5 GB, no account for you or the recipient.

What the recipient sees

E-mail refuses heavy attachments.

Gmail and Outlook.com stop at 25 MB per message, work mailboxes often lower. A link weighs nothing: the file stays here, the e-mail only carries its address.

Your recipient installs nothing.

They click the link in your e-mail and download in their browser, without an account. PDFs and images open in the page first.

Protect what is sensitive.

A password, given separately from the e-mail. Deletion once everything is downloaded. A link that ends after 1 to 3 days.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my attachment refused?

Most mailboxes cap one message at 20 to 25 MB, attachments included: Gmail and Outlook.com at 25 MB. Past that, the mailbox refuses the file or offers to put it in its own cloud.

How do I send a large file by e-mail?

Drop it here, copy the link, paste it into your e-mail. The recipient downloads from the link, up to 5 GB.

Gmail offers Google Drive. What is the difference?

Gmail puts the file in your Google Drive, where it uses your storage and stays until you delete it. Here nothing counts against your storage, and the file is erased when the link ends.

Can I protect the file with a password?

Yes. Set one when you send, and give it separately from the e-mail: by text or by phone.

Does it work with any mailbox?

Yes: a link is plain text. Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail or a work mailbox, it goes in any message.

Can I put several files behind one link?

Yes. Without an account, up to 200 files and 5 GB; with Pro, 2,000 files and 500 GB.

Should I compress the file instead?

A .zip barely shrinks videos, photos or PDFs, and rarely below 25 MB. A link sends the file as it is.

Can I send the link to several people?

Yes: put several addresses on your e-mail; whoever has the link can download. If you chose deletion once downloaded, the link closes as soon as every file has been downloaded, by anyone.
